2. DREF en route to Earth
Dref's usual task was to constantly monitor the satellite images looking for a planet that was similar to how Mondern was before the evacuation. Most of the ones that they had seen whilst travelling through the different galaxies were barren, either too hot, too cold or covered in water and ice. Until one day he could see a beautiful blue planet coming into focus on the monitor, Dref quickly communicated his sighting to Tarie, who was equally enthused and relayed the information to Olaban his father. Straightaway, Olaban thought that the characteristics initially looked encouraging and decided thatthey should take a closer look.
As they drew closer to the Blue Planet, Olaban became even more convinced of it's similarities to their own planet Mondern. Dref, Mas and Tarie looked at each other wondering what their father's next move was going to be. Olaban left the viewing platform and went to speak to Akindi privately.
When he returned he headed straight for Dref and told him to prepare for departure as he was to be transferred to the Blue Planet to see if it was suitable for further investigation. Although Mas had checked out the last planet they had visited, this time he was needed on board in case of any more visits from hostile craft.
Dref had never been on a solo mission before, and he was a little apprehensive but also excited.
